For any patina-ed (blackened) pieces it might begin to eventually rub off and return to bright silver over time - especially in places where it rubs against the skin (such as the inside of a ring). This is normal and expected! It is part of the journey of your new piece of jewellery. 

Tarnished silver can be cleaned using any silver polish or with a simple household technique with aluminum foil, baking soda and hot water. Wrap the inside of a glass bowl with aluminum foil and pour in near-boiling water and a couple of tablespoons of baking soda. Add your piece of jewellery. It will need to soak longer if it is quite tarnished.
